Do you ever get over a regretful birth experience?
You know, Avery is going on five and every now and then it gets to me. It still pisses me off that I didn’t get the birth I wanted or expected. How long do you get to pout about that? How long before you accept that you [...]

So, I’ve been needing to work on the Livie puzzle out loud again. I want to make her “normal.” David and I both try. Out of nowhere, we’ll get a notion that she is just like every other 2 year old, since that seems to be the popular opinion, and treat her Livie moments as [...]

2:37am Lila awakes for a feeding.
Lila’s skin is warm, too warm, as in hot, fever hot. The archaic underarm thermometer reads 100.6, she feels much hotter. I give Tylenol & wipe her down w/a cool cloth. Lila and I both sleep fitfully until the alarm goes off a few hours later.
6:45am Lila’s fever is still [...]

Apparently, Miss Sensitive cannot tolerate efforts made to make life easier by combining shots. Nope, not going to happen. It was decided that Captain [...]

Our very first ear infection…ever, for any of my babies
Praise God for good neighbors! It just happens that we hit the neighborhood jackpot and have a single pediatrician living across the street. Time after time she’s told us not to hesitate to ask any questions, but who wants to impose on a neighbor you actual [...]

So Lila’s six month immunizations were yesterday
It’s bad. According to our handy dandy “so your baby had immunizations sheet” Lila is having a moderate reaction to the DtP immunization. Honest to God, I she didn’t sleep more than 20 minutes in a row from late yesterday evening to now. She won’t quit screaming, actually it’s [...]
